Not exactly Christmas…

But on her third-to-last day of service, my newest friend Maggie gave to me…
  • About 30 clothespins for putting
  • About 25 hangers for hanging
  • About 15 different spices for cooking
  • 11 cute shirts for wearing
  • 10 pieces of silverware for eating
  • 9 books for reading
  • 8 fabric paints for painting
  • 7 pens for writing
  • 3 lotions for rubbing
  • 2 sports bras for running
  • 2 big knives for cutting
  • 2 bowls for eating
  • 1 set of curtains for hanging
  • 1 pair of pants for wearing
  • 1 Tupperware for putting
  • 1 cup for drinking
  • 1 basket for using
  • 1 bag for carrying
  • 1 blow-drier for drying
…and maybe more stuff that I can’t remember right now, but it was pretty awesome. Add up all that, some fried tortillas with quesillo, a strawberry-banana smoothie, and a trip to a mini-supermarket…and that was my fun Saturday.

Haha Daniel, I was going to try and be more clever somehow but it didn't quite work out. I'll use the excuse that I was getting sick when I started writing that one. And yes, Gram, I'm super excited for some of them! Most of them are still at Matt's but hopefully I'll be bringing a lot back this weekend. I think there was more too that I'm forgetting! We'll see.
